Kush Agrawal

Dr. Kush Agrawal, MD, FACC, RPVI is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist who has been practicing in the Valley since 2016. He joined Atria Heart in March of 2020. Dr. Agrawal grew up in Mississippi surrounded by a family of physicians, and knew at a very young age this was his calling. He completed an undergraduate degree in Biology and Biochemistry with honors at Duke University and medical school at the University of Mississippi participating in vascular biology research in the world-renowned Guyton and Hall Biophysics Laboratory. He completed his internship and residency at Emory University and Grady hospital in Atlanta, with exposure to a large, urban, safety hospital system. Dr. Agrawal then completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at Boston University Medical Center, with combined training at Brigham and Women’s (Harvard) Medical Center and the Boston VA. He then was awarded the prestigious Vascular Interventional Advances (VIVA) fellowship, serving as an advanced fellow under the tutelage of Dr. Jim Joye, DO, while also participating in the Stanford Biodesign Program and the Fogarty Innovation Institute. His VIVA fellowship was completed in Kingsport, Tennessee under the mentorship of Dr. D. Chris Metzger, MD, where he learned to master carotid artery stenting techniques. He has numerous high-impact journal as well as textbook chapter publications. He has been a sub-investigator in the CREST-2 Carotid Stent and the ABSORB IV Bioabsorbable Stent Trials. He was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) designation in 2018. Dr. Agrawal has successfully performed numerous high-risk heart and vascular procedures. Influenced greatly by his childhood exposure to medicine and a compassion-focused upbringing, Dr. Agrawal has the utmost respect for the patient-physician bond. Among his core ambitions is to be able to provide truly comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients.
