Jonathan Schwartz, MD, FACC, FSCAI is a structural interventional cardiologist at the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, and completed his medical training at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Medical School. He went on to complete training in internal medicine at the University of Colorado, Denver, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. He then pursued fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Fellow. While in fellowship training, he served as a Stanford Biodesign Innovation fellow, and then completed training in Interventional Cardiology, also at Stanford University School of Medicine. Finally, he completed training in advanced Adult Structural and Congenital Heart Disease interventions at the Minneapolis Heart Institute. He performs a wide range of structural heart disease and coronary interventions, and is actively involved in multiple medtech startup companies.
